iScore gives you a great way to keep a detailed record of the game as it’s going and is especially useful for serious coaches, parents, and fans.
This is easily the most advanced scorekeeping app on the Android Market and possibly even the mobile app market as a whole. First, you’ll need to add players in the Player Manager and then add them to a specific team in the Team Manager. If you’re interested in scoring Major League games, you can simplify this process by syncing team rosters just before game time (this requires a $19.99 add-on).
The actual score-keeping interface is extremely well designed and makes for a pleasant step-by-step type process. As you track the game, fully detailed statistics are continuously compiled. These include pitch counts, batting averages, fielding percentages, and every other stat imaginable. Ultimately, the beauty of it is that you don’t have to calculate anything by hand or input details into a separate software for analysis. Additionally, the pitch tracker allows you to track every pitch location, type and speed, with speckle charts that let you review the pitch history. If you’re a coach, this app will give you the competitive edge to know your opponent better than they know themselves.
We’ve only skimmed the surface of all the awesome features, but for brevity’s sake we’ll leave it at that for now.
Pros:
- Feature-packed baseball and softball score-keeping app
- Comprehensive batting, pitching, fielding, etc. statistics that can be exported in excel format
- Synchronize game-tracking online for real-time viewing by others
- Training videos available on the iScore website if needed
Areas for improvement:
- Enhance iScore website features/support and this app would be perfect
Conclusion: The most advanced score-keeping app available; instantly become the most efficient stats guru around.
