Deluxe Moon lets you view the various moon phases based on a specific calendar date. Drag your finger on the moon to advance/backup the calendar. The default homescreen for this app includes information like the date, day of the week, location, moon phase, moonrise, moonset, moon age, astrological sign, and more!

If you click on the current moon percentage (e.g. 9.6% illuminated in the screenshot above), you can access the month long calendar of moon phases and zodiac signs. Tap on the astrological sign next to the moon (e.g. Sagittarius) to open the sidereal, tropical, and astronomical zodiac chart (check out the “?” button inside the app for more information on these astrological definitions). Lastly, if you want very detailed information about the moon’s current and future positions, click on any of the remaining information on the screen (e.g. Moonrise or Age). This will let you see real-time data about the moon age, distance, ecliptic plane latitude/longitude, and moon azimuth.

For the example shown in the screenshots below, the selections made were: pair wine with a meal -> meat -> poultry -> chicken -> grilled. This will then return three wines; one with high acclaim, one with a great value, and one at random. From there just select the wine name to get the full details, which include its region, average price, vintage, points awarded, and a description. If the first three wines don’t fit your fancy, click the “get more recommendations” button to refresh the list.

Relax and Sleep allows you to choose and play from a list of ambient sounds. Examples include ocean, summer rain, forest birds, and acoustic guitar melody. Simply check the box next to the sounds you’d like to play. You can independently adjust the volumes and mix and match different sounds to create your own personalized relaxation melody. Once you have done this, don’t forget to save your personalized melody in the menu. Next time, load your preset combination from the menu to start relaxing immediately!

If you’d like to use this app to help you fall asleep, make sure to set the timer so that the sounds will mute after a specific length of time.
