Your mission with the Gun Bros is to rid the galaxy of the evil T.O.O.L organization before they enslave the entire universe.
The game controls are very easy to use and are surprisingly responsive. The left control pad moves your gun bro while the right control pad fires your gun in the direction pressed. The red “!” button opens your “smartillery” menu where you can access available power-ups to increase your chances of survival. The blue toggle button switches between your available weapons.
Similar to other XP based Android games, you earn experience with each enemy that you kill. Experience enables you to level up, become more powerful, and unlock new items in the armory store. Additionally, each enemy that you destroy earns you xplodium, the rare ore used as currency. Pay attention to the xplodium earnings multiplier in the top right of the display, which can be increased by successfully passing consecutive waves of enemy units.
A few tips: 1) keep moving around the map to avoid being surrounded by your enemies 2) pay attention to objects in the map that can be used to your advantage 3) stock up on “smartillery” power-ups to ensure your mission is a success.

These options help avoid the many control-based issues that plague other similar Android games.
The best part of this game is its detailed graphics and incredibly smooth gameplay. I did not experience any lag or performance issues when playing on my Samsung Vibrant. It will definitely be worth buying the full version (when it’s released in March).

Chesspresso lets you play multiple chess games simultaneously with other Android users from around the world. The app is setup to allow you to play when you have time and avoid having to dedicate a block of time to complete an entire game all at once (much the same as how Wordfeud works).
From the game’s main screen, click “New Game” to either find a game, create a new game, or invite an already existing player. All of your active games will be listed in the “Current” tab. The name, points ranking, country location, and time left to act (for you or your opponent) will be displayed.
Overall, this Android game has a very clean and sophisticated interface, definitely fitting for a chess app. Make sure to turn on notifications so that you’re reminded of when it’s your turn.

Your goal in this Android game is to quickly connect the firework fuses by aligning them, accomplished by tapping on the individual pieces to rotate them. When the fuse is connected from the firework all the way up to Sam the spark, the path will turn green and the firework(s) will be launched. In the upper right-hand corner of the screen you’ll see the target number of fireworks you have to launch for that level and the time remaining to do so.
As for your score, you’ll receive points for each piece of fuse you burn as well as for each firework launched. To really boost your score, you’ll want to earn combos by blasting two or more fireworks at the same time, achieved by using the split pieces of fuse. Lastly, your score also depends on how pleased the crowd is, so keep the pace and combos going!
If you get to an unfavorable puzzle board, you can use the “bomb” button (which appears in the menu when the game is paused) to completely clear all the fuse pieces. Be careful though, because you only get three of these per game.

This Android game offers 4 difficulty levels ranging from easy to “insane”. I’d suggest starting on easy until you get comfortable with the controls and how the game works. Once you’ve built up some confidence, increase the computer opponent’s difficulty and prepare for a challenge.
Some comments posted to the Android Market complained about how easy it is to score on yourself. However, this is one of challenges in original air hockey and is actually a good strategy. Use the ricocheted angles off the walls to get the puck behind your opponent’s paddle to increase the likelihood that they’ll score on themselves.
