Posted on Dec 11, 2011 in App Development Tips, Featured Content | 24 comments

Our new series titled How to Market an Android App, Tips for Developers, is intended for Android developers who currently have an app in the Android Market or are actively developing one. Fuzzy Logic Android Game, Mix & Match Fuzzies

Posted on Nov 27, 2011 in Games, Top Rated Games | comment

The Fuzzy Logic Android game is a puzzle player’s paradise, requiring strategic moving, mixing, and matching of “Fuzzies” to clear them off the game board.

  • Version: 1.11
  • Size: 5.97MB (apps2SD enabled)
  • Category: Games
  • Price: Free

The ultimate goal of each level in the Fuzzy Logic Android game is to clear each and every “Fuzzy” from the board. To make them disappear you must send two Fuzzies of the same color colliding into one another. The trick here is that only one Fuzzy can be moved at a time (move by flicking the Fuzzy either up, down, left, or right). Helping in your mission are squares called “Blockers” that a Fuzzy can stick to. Note that the edge of the board does not have this same effect and your Fuzzy will return to its original position.

Gem Spinner 2 Android Game, Match 3 Evolved

Posted on Nov 21, 2011 in Games, Top Rated Games | comment

The Gem Spinner 2 Android game is a fresh take on the match 3 style games you’re likely to have played in the past, with a new and challenging “twist”.

  • Version: 1.0.7
  • Size: 18.93MB (apps2SD enabled)
  • Category: Games
  • Price: $1.99

Gem Spinner 2 features 50 unique levels which span 5 different destinations across the map. The basic gameplay is similar to other match 3 type games like Bejeweled where you must align three different colored shapes in a row to eliminate them from the game board. However, this Android game adds a couple extra levels of difficulty by 1) isolating jewels within subsections which limits their movement and 2) requiring subsection rearrangement and spinning to find new matches.

Bouncy Bill Android Game, Platform Jumping Turtle

Posted on Nov 15, 2011 in Games, Top Rated Games | comment

The Bouncy Bill Android game is much like the famous Doodle Jump Android game but with specific levels to beat and challenging, vertical-only jumping.

  • Version: 1.0
  • Size: 2.53MB (no apps2SD)
  • Category: Games
  • Price: Free

Bouncy Bill is a rather cute turtle whose mission it is to jump around the moving platforms to reach the end destination. Unlike other games where you might tilt your Android device to jump in different directions, the biggest challenge of this Android game is the fact that you can only jump up and down (by tapping anywhere on the screen). Because of this restriction, you must time Bouncy Bill’s jumps precisely to land on the right spot on the correct platform. If you happen to miss all platforms all together you’ll be forced to start all over again from the beginning.
